Soft starting and stopping
The IMS2 offers you extensive control over the soft start profile, to ensure appropriate control for all applications. As well as standard constant current starting, the IMS2 offers optional current ramp and.or kickstart, to help suit the characteristics of your application. In addition, the IMS2 incorporates AuCom's high-quality torque control system, which provides more linear acceleration than constant current alone.

In addition to timed voltage ramp soft stopping, the IMS2 offers a unique pump control soft stop, which can reduce or eliminate water hammer in pumping applications.

Feedback and control
The IMS2 features a large, easy-to-read display showing operating temperature and current. Status LEDs and phase indicator LEDs allow easy monitoring of operation. The IMS2 has built-in support for Modbus communication, and an optional remote operator allows remote monitoring and control. Three programmable outputs and a programmable input allow extensive integration with associated equipment.

Robust construction
IMS2 starters up to 253 A are available in IP42 or IP54 format, removing the need for an additional enclosure. All PCBs are conformally coated, for long-term reliability even in the most demanding environmental conditions.
