Accessories: Pump Application Interface

The Pump Application Interface plugs into CSX Series soft starters to provide additional I/O functionality. Designed to help monitor pumping situations, the interface can be easily applied to a wide range of applications requiring greater feedback and control.

The Pump Application Interface has been designed for pumping applications but can be used without modification on any application where greater control and feedback are required.

Easy to install and configure, the interface is housed in a compact casing which clips directly onto the side of CSX and CSXi soft starters. The interface is powered through the soft starter's serial port and no special tools or additional software are required for installation.

The interface has three digital inputs which can be directly connected to external inputs such as pressure switches, flow switches, limit switches or PLC outputs, and one PT100 input which can be directly connected to a temperature sensor. Selectable trip points and trip delays allow precise control of the soft starter in response to a wide variety of operating conditions.

• Low pressure (allows pump priming and detection of broken pipes)
• High pressure (protects against blocked pipes)
• Low water level (protects against dry pumping)
• PT100 (monitors pump temperature)
