Benshaw’s M2L Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drive is engineered for the utmost availability, which is why drive downtime is minimized in case of a failed power cell. The modular design of the inverter allows the operator to follow a few simple steps to replace a failed power cell with a spare power cell and have it back up and running quickly.
The M2L is the only true power cell-based technology that utilizes film capacitors. Use of self-healing capacitors eliminates any need for reforming of spare power cells. In other words, a spare power cell is available for use once it’s needed.
Watch this video to see how easy a power cell can be replaced once the medium voltage is removed and capacitors are discharged.
