The AuCom Active Front End (AFE) family is designed to meet the diverse needs of modern industrial applications, offering low harmonic (LV-LH) and regenerative (LV-RG) options that ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Available in both air-cooled and liquid-cooled designs, the AFE VFDs cater to power requirements ranging from 55 to 4000 kW and voltages between 380 and 690 V. Trouble-Free Operation

AuCom AFE Drives leverage advanced technology to minimize harmonic distortion, reducing power losses and enhancing power factor to optimize transformer sizing and lower electricity transmission costs. They also compensate for reactive power and resist disruptions from voltage dips or harmonics caused by other equipment. The voltage boost feature ensures full motor power, even during mains fluctuations.

The AuCom AFE features a modular Power Electronic Building Block (PEBB) design, with each PEBB acting as an independent line or motor inverter connected to a shared control board. Operation at higher temperatures

All AuCom AFE units are made for operation at maximum of 40 / 45 deg C ambient temperature.
However it is possible to use the AFE units at higher temperatures with some loss in performance, using derating.
Derating Liquid cooled AFE: -1 % per degree Celsius. Maximum is +10 deg C (55 deg C).
Derating Air cooled AFE: -2.5 % per degree Celsius. Maximum is +5 deg C (45 deg C).
